Dortha Jo Patterson's Obituary
PATTERSON, DORTHA JO MARTIN born November 7, 1919 in Durant, OK and passed away April 28, 2013 in DeSoto, TX. She went home into the Lord’s arms on Sunday, April 28, 2013 in DeSoto, TX. Jo is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Boyd and son in-law Gary. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Patterson; sons, Dennis Yeats, David Yeats, and eldest daughter, Kathy Jo Barnhill. Jo had many grandchildren, starting with the eldest, Teri Martinez and husband, Emanuel, Kristi Barnhill, Jeremy Boyd and wife, Toni, Jocelyn Boyd and husband, George, and lastly, her youngest granddaughter Hannah Boyd. She was blessed with 9 great grandchildren, Daisy Gonzalez, Jimmy Baldizon, Lilliana Gonzalez, Jazmine Pecina, Nicholas Avalos, Rebekah Avalos, George Pecina, Jessi Pecina, and Foster Boyd. Jo was a faithful member of the Order of the Eastern Star for nearly 50 years. She was a member of the John L. Degrazier 881 lodge, and Mike Thompson Oak Cliff Chapter 951 where she served as a Secretary, and is a Worthy Past Matron. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park.
