Dottie LaVerle Polly's Obituary
POLLY, Dottie LaVerle, A longtime resident of Richardson, TX, Dottie LaVerle Polly died Friday morning, June 27. She was born August 30, 1927 in Winn Parish, LA. Her husband John Polly preceded her in death in 1969. As a widow with four children, two in college, LaVerle entered Texas Women’s University in Denton and earned her degree in elementary education. She taught until her retirement at age 62 in the Richardson School District. She is survived by four children: Harry Polly and wife Jayne of Plano; Pam Hancock and husband Don of Denton; David Polly of Oklahoma City; John Polly of Richardson; a sister, Geneva Hays and husband Vance of Olla, LA; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 30, 2008 at St. Paul the Apostle, 720 South Floyd Road, Richardson, TX 75080 with a reception following in the Community Center at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richardson Regional Hospital Foundation, c/o Cancer Center, 1700 Collins Blvd., Richardson, TX 75080.
