As best as I remember, and as Rochelle had shared, Doug, during his life, frequented car auctions, often with his son Danny, as I understood it. Thus he became quite knowledgeable about car markets and values. He utilized this when Rochelle and Doug joined a number of us in moving Mom from her Holdingford farm to my condo in Mpls. While we were buried up in the farmhouse attic's "treasures", Doug disappeared with Mom's car registration (with Mom's blessing). When he re-appeared a couple hours later, he had sold Mom's old car to a close-by small town gas station for a good price. Mom was quite happy with the result as were we - that was one less thing we had to deal with in finding homes for all of the stuff Mom had collected over the years.
