Mr. Douglas Odell Lunday, age 87, passed away at 12:02 PM on Monday October 29, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on April 21, 1931, to his loving parents, Douglas W Lunday and Viola Stacy Lunday in Forth Worth, Texas. Odell married Dorothy Sparks on June 24, 1950 in Dallas, Texas. He was a retired lineman from Garland Power & Light. Odell proudly served our country as a Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean War in 1952-53 . He was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Micaiah Tardy, on September 8, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dorothy Lunday of Dallas, TX…2 sons, Eric Lunday and wife Kathy of Rowlett, TX, Jeff Lunday and his wife Jody of Heath, TX…5 grandchildren, Lauren Tardy and her husband Jordan of Dubai, UAE, Ty Lunday and his wife Shelby of Boise, ID, Karly Lunday of Rowlett, TX, Haley Lunday of Heath, TX, Travis Lunday of Heath, TX…3 great-grandchildren, Ephraim Tardy, Jadon Tardy, and Eden Tardy of Dubai, UAE. At this time, funeral services for Odell are scheduled for November 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel with a visitation being held one hour prior.
