Douglass Hugo Rauschelbach's Obituary
RAUSCHELBACH, DOUGLASS HUGO born in Jacksboro, TX August 9, 1920 and passed away November 14, 2013. He attended North Texas Agricultural College (Now UTA) and graduated in Aeronautical Engineering in 1941. While in college he played and lettered on the golf team for three years and was elected captain 1941. After graduation he proudly served his country in US Air Force during WWII. He met his wife, Jane Knox, in college and they were married 63 years at the time of her death. Together they enjoyed East Dallas Christian Church as long time members. He served in many church cabinet positions and was chairman of General Board 1965. He was made elder emeritus when he retired from the General Board in 1987. His business career of 37 years was spent with Central Engineering and Supply, Co. retiring in 1985 as Executive Vice President and General Manager. He was an avid golfer and senior member of Dallas Athletic Club. Survivors are a daughter, Linda Vance, Grapevine; 2 gradchildren and cousin Mark Douglass, Ardmore, OK. Open Visitation will start at 4:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at East Dallas Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Dallas Christian Church or any charity of your choice.
