Doyce McGee Hamilton's Obituary
Doyce McGee Hamilton, born December 5, 1933 in New Boston, Texas, was the son of W.B. and Georgie Epps Hamilton. He passed away on December 17, 2014 with his family by his side. He worked almost all his career in the trucking industry, primarily as a parts manager for white Motor Co, Mannon Motor Company, and Freightliner. He also served as a volunteer Sheriff in Dallas County for 14 years. He coached little league baseball when his sons were younger, and throughout his life he enjoyed traveling with his wonderful wife of 56 years, Reba Hamilton, who passed away in April 2012. A life-long Texas Rangers fan, he was thrilled to attend his first World Series game at the age of 77 in 2011 to watch the Rangers play the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a Master Mason tor 56 years, and a founding member of the Carrollton Masonic Lodge 1400 in [1963]. He is survived by his sister, Ila Faye Crescimanno, sons, Russ Hamilton (Kelly) and Mike Hamilton (Karyn), grandson, Brent Hamilton (Lesia), and granddaughters, Ashley Hamilton Urby (Joaquin), Chassie Hamilton and Kourtney Hamilton. The visitation for Doyce will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Doyce will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2014 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 at Restland Road.
