Doyce Young's Obituary
Young, Doyce “Joe” Joe was born on February 23, 1935 in Saint Jo, TX and went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2011. Joe was a lifetime member of the Methodist church and joined the First United Methodist Church of Richardson in 1962. He graduated from North Texas University with a Bachelor of Science degree and after serving in the military, he was a manufacturing manager at Texas Instruments for 34 years. After retiring from Texas Instruments, he went to work for Coldwell Banker as a realtor specializing in farm and ranch properties. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and football. Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Janette Young; and parents, Curtis Leon Young and Mary Ola Young. He is survived by two daughters and husbands, Phyllis Anette and Randy Lee Prikryl, Carolyn Denise and Dennis Anthony Dunn; four grandchildren, Morgan Nicole Dunn, Joseph Ryan Prikryl, Jackson Aubrey Dunn, Jayden Chase Prikryl; brother, Darvel “Ray” Young and his wife, Alice and his nephew, Kirt Young; sister-in-law Luella and husband Joe Johnson; 6 nephews; several other close relatives and many friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 10th, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 10 AM on Friday, February 11, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Richardson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Richardson, 503 N. Central Expwy., Richardson, TX 85880 or to American Diabetes Association , 1701 N. Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
