He was born November 26, 1958 to Wayland and Velma Doggett in Loraine, TX and had two younger brothers. Married on November 18, 1995 to Sharon Harper, and instantly gained a daughter Sarah.Doyle grew up Southern Baptist, was laid back, kind of country, was playful and quick to smile, extremely caring, and loved meeting and talking to people. He was very proud and protective of his family, some of his greatest joy was spending time with his wife, daughter, and their dog.Doyle graduated Grapevine High School, class of 1978. He then entered the Navy in 1979 and served four years, as a radar man. After his term in the Navy, Doyle went to work for American Airlines for the next 28 years, starting in the print shop and later moved into the research department where he retired in 2012. While working for American Airlines he played Santa Clause for holiday parties. He continued playing Santa for several churches and charitable organizations after his retirement. He loved being Santa throughout the holiday season, always having peppermints for children, both young and old alike. Wherever he was, when asked by a child if he was the real Santa, he replied with a smile, “you can never really be sure, so you always have to be good.”Doyle had many interests in life. He was an avid reader, enjoying Sci-fi and Sherlock Holmes mysteries. He wrote poetry and had several of his poems published. He was a photographer, both for himself and professionally. His favorite movies and TV shows included Star Trek, Star Wars, Dr. Who, and British detective programs. But his greatest pursuit always remained his family.Doyle Wayne Doggett was called home by The Lord, and is finally free of all his earthly pain and suffering.
