Doyle Wayman Dykes' Obituary
Doyle Wayman Dykes — Age 92 — of Garland, Tx. passed away November 12, 2020 in Dallas, Tx. He was born February 22, 1928 in Skipperville, Alabama to John and Minie Dykes. Doyle honorably served in the United States Army from June 5, 1947 to June 8, 1976 during The Korean War Era.
He happily married Delwanda Nix in 1951 and they celebrated 60 years of loving marriage. He was proceeded in death by his wife Delwanda and son-in-law Gary Nichols.
Doyle was an 18 year member of KWVA (Korean War Veterans Association) serving in different officer positions during that period.
Doyal is survived by - Daughter — Sharon Nickles, Grandchildren —Jeremy Nickles, Lori Ham and husband Rick, and Christi Reaves, Great Grandchildren —Aaron Dooley, Callie Reaves, Katie Philips, Haley Aragon, Lauren Dedushaj, Including numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday November 19, 2020 at Restland Funeral Home — 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Tx. in the Wildwood Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30pm.
