Doyle Edward Moore's Obituary
Doyle Edward Moore, 79, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on November 3, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on August 6, 1941 to Oscar H. Moore and Rosalie Robertson in Colorado City, Texas. He married Peggy Lee Walton on December 2, 1976 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was a Police Lieutenant for the Mesquite Police Department for 29 years. He was a lifetime NRA member. Doyle served in the U S Army from May 1959 to 1962 as an X-Ray Specialist. As Sergeant he served in personnel and training. He also served as Master Armorer. As Lieutenant, he organized the departments initial Honor Guard and held the first MPD Police Memorial Day. He established the first K-9 Unit for the department. He served as a Supervisor in Criminal Investigation Division. His last service was a Watch Commander in the patrol division. Doyle is survived by his wife Peggy Moore of Mesquite, Texas; daughters Peggy Jeanette Monroe of Cedar Park, Texas, Arden Le Bowser fo Charlton, Massachusetts, Rosalee Dawn Briggs of Ft Worth, Texas, and Sara Ashley Paul of McKinney, Texas; and 9 grandchildren.
