Drew Anderson Dorsey's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Drew Anderson Dorsey, Jr. announces his passing, five days shy of his 85th birthday, on Sunday, February 19th, 2023.
A Dallas native, Drew went to North Dallas High School and graduated from Texas Tech University after serving in the Coast Guard. He was a CPA and enjoyed working as an International Internal Auditor.
He will be remembered by Carol, his wife of 50 years, his daughter Allison (Evan) Trickett and son Brandon Dorsey. Pops will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Micah and Eden. In addition, he was an uncle to nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He always took care of his family and loved them very well.
Drew was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for thirty years. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his golf buddies. He loved the adventure of traveling the world for work and pleasure with Carol. Drew was an avid reader, you could always find him with a book in his hand. One of his favorite things to do was sit on the beach in Maui reading a good book.
Finally, the family would like to thank care partners from Inspired Living and Ardent Hospice for their kindness and compassion in navigating the past couple years with us.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gladney Center for Adoption. (www.iamgladney.org)
