Nguyen, Duong's Obituary
With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce that our beloved mother, Mrs. Duong Thi Nguyen of Forney,Texas went to be with the Lord on May,15th, 2026 at 3:45am, at the the age of 85 peacefully in her sleep. She was born January 1st, 1941 to Mr Nguyễn Văn Biện and Mrs Huỳnh Thị The in Vinh Long, Viet Nam.
She was born and raised in the Tân Ngải commune, Long Hồ district, Vĩnh Long province, Việt Nam. She grew up with nine siblings in a humble home. She save the chance of going to school for her sister and sought out to Sai Gon instead as a little helper for her relative when she was fourteen years old. She sent back home her little allowance to help her mom.
She lived her life as a loving, devoting mother and grandmother to her children and grand children. After the fall of Sai Gon in 1975, she took her children back to Vinh Long, her home town and worked many jobs to support them. She was resilience till God picked her up for a journey to America with her daughter and her youngest son, who was 6 years old at the time on March 15th,1984. She settled in Dallas, Texas. She continued to work hard until she was diagnosed with cancer a year a half later. At Parkland hospital she prayed that her kids were taken care of. She miraculously survived and God gave her the chance to fulfill her wish. She worked as thread trimmer in the Vietnamese sewing shop until her youngest son got married. She was baptized in her late seventies. She loved God and prayed every day for her children and grandchildren. She left behind a legacy of kindness, resilience and unconditional love that will forever be cherished by those who know her.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren and great grand children as listed below:

Daughter: Nguyễn Thompson Hương, husband Nguyễn Văn Sự (Allen,Texas)
Son: Lưu Hoàng Minh, wife Lê Hoàng Phượng (Forney, Texas)
Grandchildren: Huy, Huyền, Phương, Lâm, Kiều, Diễm, Tài, Nancy, Thiên Long (William),
Hoàng Thiên (Winston), Phước, Phương, Huy, Aaron, Ngọc Tuyền, Hân
Great Grandchildren: Nhiên, Hưng, Như Ý, An An, Kem, Ken, An Nhiên
and a host of other cherished family and friends.
