Dustin William Ellis passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home in Dallas, Texas. He was born on June 14, 1983, the son of Carl Ellis and Melanie (Roe) Krumbholz.
Dustin is preceded in death by his father, Carl Ellis; maternal grandparents: John "Bill" and Patsy Roe; Robert "Bobby" Ellis; Shelia and Dalton Prewitt and his uncle, Dennis Roe.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Melanie and Gary Krumbholz; his sister and brother-in-law, Mandi and Dmitri Malinin; stepbrother, Ryan Krumbholz; bonus grandparents: Janelle and Johnny Krumbholz and bonus Aunt and Uncle, Juliann and Richard Long. Dustin was an entrepreneur and skilled dog trainer who grew a successful business, Proud Pack Dog Training, in Dallas. He touched many lives through his dog training business and was passionate about teaching obedience and, particularly, rehabilitating sheltered dogs. He loved sharing his dog training skills and knowledge with his clients as he truly cared about helping them to create a safe and loving environment for every dog owner that put their faith in him.
Dustin loved spending time with his family. As a young boy, his "Papa" (Bill Roe) was his role model and his hero. Papa taught him to fish and that became a favorite past time growing up. Dustin started playing sports when he was 4 years old and into high school. He always had a passion for professional and college sports, particularly football, and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. As a recent hobby, Dustin had quite the green thumb and spent much of his day tending to his garden. He loved making hot pepper sauces and jellies with his homegrown peppers and pickling vegetables for others to enjoy. Other hobbies included weightlifting and producing electronic music and beats.
