In Loving Memory of Dwight Kelvin Holmes

Dwight Kelvin Holmes of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on January 31, 1969, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, Dwight was the beloved son of Julius Caesar Davis and Pearline Shaw.
A devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, Dwight married the love of his life, Pamela Clophus, on September 1, 1995. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and family.
Dwight will be remembered as a God-fearing and tenacious man, whose strength, faith, and unshakable love for his family left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He had a deep passion for studying God's word and expanding his knowledge, seeking wisdom in every part of life. His other passions included deep-sea fishing, appreciating nature, Shark Week, sports cars, collecting watches, cooking, and making music. He lived life with intention and spirit, always grounded in his faith and eager to share his wisdom and warmth.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Pamela Holmes; sons Gabriel Nolan Davis, Jeremy Michael Davis, Dwight Christian Davis, and Jeridan Holmes; extended family Galis, Fiya and Jordy Holmes; brother Renzy Davis; sister Kelly Holmes and a wide circle of cousins, friends, and business associates who will cherish his memory.
He is preceded in death by his father Julius Caesar Davis, mother Pearline Shaw, half-brother Timothy Holmes, and beloved daughter Gabrielle Ariel Davis
A celebration of Dwight’s life will be held at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM. His favorite songs, “I’m Available to You” and “Safe in His Arms” by Rev. Milton Brunson & the Thompson Community Singers, will be played in his honor.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to Wanda Clophus, Pastor Wright of Forest Hill Seventh Day Adventist Church, and the staff of Restland Funeral Home for their generous support, compassion, and kindness during this time.
