Earl George Aeverman's Obituary
Earl George Aeverman, 82, died peacefully at home in Aransas Pass, Texas on December 14, 2023, after a short battle with lung cancer. Earl was born in Nebraska in 1940 to Earl C and Alice Aeverman. He moved to Denver as a teenager and worked with his dad at Denver Engine & Transmission for a few years. That is where he learned to be a mechanic. He married Margaret (Susie) Booco in 1960 and had two children, Earl Kent and Bobbi Jo. He moved his family to Granby in 1966, working for Middle Park Auto and then worked for Standard Oil and they eventually bought and ran Mountain Valley Oil. They moved from Grand County in 1984 to Las Vegas, NV. Earl worked for the Imperial Palace for the antique car restoration shop for several years. Earl and Susie were divorced in 1992 and Earl moved to Texas shortly after and made that his home. He married Sami on December 14, 1996, and they remained together until he died.
In earlier years Earl had many hobbies such as boating, flying his airplane, and snowmobiling. He was always a traveler at heart, and up until a few years ago Earl and Sami traveled in their motorhome through many states. During those travels they would almost always end up stopping in Grand County to visit many of the friends that still lived in the area. Earl never met a stranger and was always a friend to everyone he came across.
