Earl Stewart Mahanay's Obituary
Married for 52 years, before his wife, Susan passed away January 11, 2014. Stewart was born December 15, 1939 in Alvarado, TX. He graduated from TCU, entered the military serving 20 years in the US Army, retiring as a major. Stewart started a COMSEC, COMPUSEC company based in Little Rock, AR. He sold the company for a second retirement and moved to Lake Fork in Emory, TX. There he guided fishing groups, made handmade fishing rods and was very active in the Masonic Lodge serving in various positions including Master of the Lodge #1440. Survivors include his son, Sean Mahanay and wife, Clarissa; daughter, Kim Boling and husband, Michael; and 6 grandchildren, Samantha Gott, Collin Boling, Preston Boling, Lane Mahanay, Tristyn Mahanay, and Karley Mahanay. Graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at DFW National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas.
