Mrs. Earline Wiley's Obituary
Earline Wiley, 94, passed away on September 9, 2024, in Dallas, Texas under Hospice care.
She was born on September 18, 1929, in Jolly, Texas, to Jim and Elizabeth Wright. She and her sister grew up in this ranching family as their father worked on various ranches in the Clay and Wichita county area. Earline graduated from Electra High School. After moving to the Dallas area, she was employed by the Republic National Bank for several years.
She married A.P. Wiley, Jr. in 1967. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2014. A.P., his father, and brother, James to form the Wiley Brothers General Contractors partnership and were builders in the Dallas area. Together, Earline and A.P. were avid fans and supporters of Texas A&M University. They were benefactors of numerous scholarships including the Sul Ross Scholarship, College of Veterinary Medicine and President's Endowed Scholarship. In 1984, they joined with his brother to form the endowed Texas A&M Internationally renowned MSC Wiley Lecture Series. Earline & A.P. were active supporters of the arts, the SPCA of Texas and the Dallas Zoo throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Jimmie Ruth Roderick and husband B.F. She is survived by her niece, Judy Peden and husband, Roger, Henrietta, Texas, grand-nephew, Eric Peden, Oakland, CA., nephews Jim Wiley and wife, Karen, Alan Wiley and wife Melinda, Don Wiley and wife, Julia, Glen Wiley and wife, Ann, as well as numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Special thanks to close family friends, Cindi Welch Yeaman, D.V.M. and husband, Bob. The family is especially grateful for the loving care Earline received from her longtime caregivers including Marcelene and L.A. Henderson. Memorials may be sent to T.
