Eddie Arvel Bingham's Obituary
Eddie Arvel Bingham was born in Terrell, Texas on February 17, 1948, the son of Nathan Arvel Bingham and Georgia Mae Bulloch. Moving to Pleasant Grove in his early years, he attended H. Grady Spruce High School, did three years in college - then followed his father footsteps into the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 100, doing a trade he loved and excelled in. Just this year, he completed his 50 years of membership with the Local 100! He was a proud Local 100 member, and talked of his ‘adventures’ throughout the years, with fondness.
Eddie was also an avid beekeeper. Starting just out of high school, he learned how important the bees were for our environment and did all he could to protect the bees He has had many hives over the years, and has ‘rescued’ many a swarm, but has gotten some good honey in the process. He so appreciated his friend, Arthur Carter, taking his hives to make sure they were cared for always.
Eddie loved working the ground, making things grow, and everything about nature. He tended to the birds and had several Purple Martin Houses. He loved them all!
2021 would have been the 39th wedding anniversary with his wife Sally. He raised her two sons, Brandon, and Don Mullins, and so cared for his 5 grandchildren! His cousin, Jimmy Bingham, Jimmy’s son and wife, Craig and Kim Bingham, and the wife of his cousin, Gerald Bingham, now in Heaven, Kay Bingham, made his face light up every time he saw them.
With much love and appreciation, a ‘Meet-and-Greet’ is planned prior to his burial. As Eddie wanted to just let people visit and remember some good times, we will have the open casket viewing and gathering – then a graveside gathering with Craig Bingham saying a few words and prayer. Eddie was most grateful to all of you all.
