Edgar Cesar Yanez's Obituary
Edgar C. Yanez was born on January 15, 1946, in Arequipa, Peru, to Maria Esther Vizcardo and Humberto Yanez. He passed away on September 27, 2025.
After a four year engagement, Edgar married Martha Cardenas on December 13, 1969, in Lima, Peru. Together they built a beautiful family and shared a lifetime of love and devotion.
Known affectionately as “Lito” by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Edgar quickly became “Lito” to everyone who knew him. He truly enjoyed life and every moment spent with family and friends. Edgar was a gentleman who loved the Lord and his church community at Valley View Christian Church. Edgar served as a greeter at church on Sundays and made everyone feel welcomed with his contagious smile and warm hugs.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, and a son-in-law. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha; his son and daughters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sisters; nieces and nephews, and many friends who will miss him deeply.
A viewing will be at Valley View Christian Church, Dallas, Texas, on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 10:30AM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30AM. A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 12:00PM at Restland Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 - Whispering Waters, Area 1.
