Edith Margaret Whitney's Obituary
In the early hours of August 10, 2017 Edith “Edie” Margaret Fulton Whitney passed into glory. She would have turned 91 in December. She passed away at Walnut Place Nursing Facility in Dallas, TX, while under the Hospice Program. Edie was moved to Walnut Place following a stroke last summer. Despite a gallant struggle, her condition slowly, but steadily, declined, and she went to be with the Lord this morning. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 14 at 12:30 in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home after which she will be laid to rest next to Art at the Restland Cemetery. She was a long time member of the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Edie is survived by daughter Shawn, sons Jim and Danny, and sister Sylvia (Chibby) and myself, Walter. Her son Timmy, sister Nelle and brother Larry preceded her in death. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm, Monday, August 14, 2017 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service starting at 11:30 pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
