Edna Erle Foote's Obituary
Edna Erle Foote, born on April 3, 1923, in Dumont, Texas, passed away on June 13, 2024 at 101 years of age. She was the beloved daughter of James Robert Thomas and Georgia Etta Franks who also were parents to her three brothers: Damon Rae, James Robert, and Kenneth Dean, and her three sisters: Bessie Mae, Elsie Mabel, and Alma Lela.
Edna was a devoted wife to her husband Errol Foote, and together they raised a loving family. They were blessed with two sons, Shannon Foote and Robert Foote. They also had four loving daughters: Patsy Morris, Betty Cole, Sharon Hardwick, and Susan Holcombe.
Edna was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Malakoff, Texas where she served as the church organist for many years. She spent several years nurturing her household and family as a homemaker and then later became a piano teacher having returned to school to complete her associates degree in music. Edna had such love and passion for music which led her to teach what she was passionate about. She now is leaving a harmonious mark on those who had the opportunity to learn from her.
Edna’s legacy extends to her grandchildren: Kevin, Tammy, Pam, Michael, Carrie, Lori, Clint, Rob, Kristel, Angela, Marc, Chris, Jeremy, and Jennifer. She was also a proud great-grandmother to many.
Edna is survived by her two sons, Shannon Foote and wife Suzy, and son Robert Foote. Her two daughters Patsy Morris and husband E.J, daughter Susan Holcombe and husband Steve. She is also survived by her son- in law Gary Cole and wife Justine, and her son-in law M.D Hardwick along with her several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her two daughters Betty Cole and Sharon Hardwick.
Edna will be missed dearly by all of her family and to those who knew and loved her.
