Edna Mae Johnson Fenlaw's Obituary
FENLAW, EDNA MAE JOHNSON of Richardson, Texas went to live her “true life with the Lord” on Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was born September 7,1922 and raised in Cumberland, Maryland on a dairy farm with five siblings. She worked all of her adult life, as bookkeeper, secretary, administrative manager, and real estate agent, until age 80. She was married to Paul K. Jones Sr. of Pennsylvania and had three children, Paul Jr., Janet, and Virginia. After living in the mid-Atlantic states, in 1959 she moved to Richardson and has remained in the same house until now. In 1964 she married Archer Fenlaw and welcomed daughter Ann. Edna Mae was always active in her church, working with a servant’s heart as a teacher, WELCA member, Social Seniors leader, Stephen Minister and on North Texas Via de Cristo #10; her faith was the grounding of all her life and she taught her children love and grace by example. She liked to travel,enjoyed outings with friends and loved family gatherings. Her sense of humor kept family events lively and was passed along to children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by brother Harry H. Johnson Jr., son Paul K. Jones, Jr. and wife Sarah, daughter Janet Kraatz and husband Joe, daughter Virginia Gillespie and husband Douglas, daughter Ann Sookdeo and husband Rudy; grandchildren Nicole Jones, Amanda Jones, Paul Constantine, Robert Constantine, Jacob Gillespie, Daniel Gillespie, and Joshua Sookdeo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday, October 31, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas. Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Restland Memorial Park. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday November 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Richardson. Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1210 W. Belt Line Rd, Richardson, TX.
