Edna Ruth Ramsey's Obituary
was born November 13, 1920 in Nevada, Texas, and passed away November 16, 2007 in Tyler, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Ramsey. A devoted wife for fifty-one and half years, Mrs. Ramsey was also a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Rylie First Baptist Church, Rylie, Texas. She enjoyed making others happy with her meals and love of cooking. She especially enjoyed catfish and crappie. She made the best pecan pies you ever put in your mouth. Edna had a special place in her heart for her grandson, John. Her survivors include her daughter, Glenda Frazier and husband, Ed; her son Walter Douglas Ramsey and wife Gean; her grandson John F. Thode and fiance Jacqueline Godefroy; granddaughter Sonja Sue Ramsey; great-grandson Douglas Freddie Ramsey and various nieces and nephews. Services were held 10:00 AM, Monday, November 19, 2007 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. Visitation was 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home. Interment was in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
