Edra Ellis' Obituary
ELLIS, EDRA , 91, of Kiowa, Oklahoma, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 10, 2012. She was born on March 26, 1921 to the late Leon Whitten Bray and Sarah Louella Glover Bray in Van Zandt County, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ballard Ellis and Everett Ellis; sisters, Thelma Cade, Charlene and Pat Purdom; brothers, Frank and Lawrence Bray; son, Erwin Ellis; grandson, Bruce; and great grandson, Trey. Edra is survived by her brothers, Ken and James Bray; sisters, Mary Helen Ellis and Alva Samson; daughters, Denise Hanson and Lynn Hoover; sons, Walter and his wife Susan, and Shelby Ellis; grandchildren, David Anthony, Patrick, David Leon, Harmony, Katherine, Andrew, Amy, Daniel, Shane, Michelle and Cecil. She has nine great granddaughters, six great grandsons, and two great great granddaughters as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends who loved her and will miss her dearly. She and her siblings remained very close throughout their whole lives. She was also an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, April 13, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
