Edrith Kay Nichols' Obituary
Ms. Edrith Kay Nichols, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in Bedford, Texas. She was born to Mr. Edward Dewey Nichols and Ms. Dorothy Mae Wilcox on Tuesday, November 12, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. Edrith was a graduate of Sunset High School in Dallas. After high school she had a career as an executive assistant and worked in many business fields. As a young adult she presided as the President of The Beatles and Pat Boone Fan Clubs, Dallas Chapters.
Edrith loved to travel. Her former husband Gaillard Frank, worked for the weather service, and his job afforded them the opportunity to travel the country and live in several states, such as California and Nevada. Montana was her favorite state to live in, as she loved mountains, horses, country music and cowboy life. George Straight was her favorite country artist.
Edrith loved researching our family history and became an avid genealogist. She was able to trace our family history back to the 1750’s. Edrith moved back to Hurst, Texas in the year 2000 and worked for HEB Hospital as a PBX operator. After she retired, she became involved in several local Senior Centers and discovered a love for crafting. She made beautiful greeting cards and other types of crafts.
Edrith is preceded in death by her parents, and former husband. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Mathis and husband Cecil, and her brother Mark Nichols and wife Janene, along with many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews. Edrith leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
