Edward Brent Eardley's Obituary
Edward Brent Eardley was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 9, 1943, to Margy Anderson and Edward Pixton Eardley. He grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Rice University in 1964 and made his career with IBM as a systems programmer for 30 years. After retiring, he served as nanny to his two oldest grandchildren for 12 years.
Brent is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol; his daughters and their spouses, Matt and Shannon Deegan and Clint and Allison Whitlock; his 5 grandchildren, Katherine and Olivia Deegan, and Elle, Summer and Will Whitlock; and his sister, Linda Eardley Hollis.
Sports was a big part of Brent’s life and his participation in high school football allowed him to earn a scholarship to Rice. He continued to share his love of sports with his family and rarely missed an opportunity to film his grandchildren.
