Edward John Keah Jr's Obituary
On Saturday, March 21, 2026, Edward John Keah, Jr., devoted husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 80 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Ed was born on October 2, 1945, in Miami, Oklahoma, to Edward John Keah and Mary June Hall Keah. He graduated from Miami High School in 1963 and later attended the Oklahoma State University School of Technical Training. He began his career with Conoco Oil and Gas in Hobbs, New Mexico, before moving to Dallas, where he spent 40 dedicated years with TU Electric/Oncor.
On June 14, 1969, he married the love of his life, Minnie Keah. Together they raised two children, Geoff and Nicole.
Ed was a private man who kept a close-knit circle of family and friends. He had a passion for photography, which he pursued as a longtime side business. He adored his four grandchildren and took every opportunity to spoil them. He was always manning the grill at family gatherings, and his BBQ ribs will be deeply missed.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edward; his mother, Mary June; his wife, Minnie; and his sister, Mary Jane. He is survived by his son, Geoff Keah, and wife Jaclyn (children Collin and Camille); his daughter, Nicole Rodriguez, and husband Tony (children Ansley and Aniston); his sister, Kathy Rogers; his brother, Millard Keah; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service on Saturday, April 4, at 10:30 a.m., both at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
