Edward Joseph Kucmierz's Obituary
Edward Joseph Kucmierz was born on March 19, 1951 to father Casimer S. Kucmierz & mother Genevieve Drag in Dunkirk, New York. He graduated from Dunkirk High School & successfully completed an associate's degree in electronics from Dallas County Community Colleges & Devry Institute. Edward served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era & as a Marine Corp Reservist. He was employed as an electronic technician with Rockwell Collins & Raytheon. Edward married the love of his life, Rita Quinlan, & formed a loving family.
Edward is survived by his wife Rita Kucmierz; son David Kucmierz of Mesquite, Texas; daughters Angela Groshans of Princeton, Texas & Melissa Kucmierz of Brookfield, Illinois & grandchildren Kaylin & Theodore. He is also survived by his brothers Ronald J. Kucmierz of Dunkirk, NY, Richard J. Kucmierz of Royse City, Texas & Anthony J. Kucmierz of Dunkirk, New York; & sisters Mary H. McCarthy of Buffalo, New York, Patricia A. Kucmierz of Dunkirk, New York & Ann M. Kirby of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Edward was preceded in death by his brothers Eugene C. Kucmierz & Steven T. Kucmierz.
Edward Joseph Kucmierz entered into rest on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, in Sunnyvale, Texas at the age of 71. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, & all the wonderful individuals who knew & loved him.
Edward's final resting place will be Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Visitation for Edward will be held from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 followed by a second visitation from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in Wildwood Chapel located within Restland Memorial Park. The graveside service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 9:15 AM at DFW National Cemetery. The funeral service will be officiated by Reverend Salvador Guzman of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas.
