Such a GREAT Uncle and friend. My favorite memory of Uncle Ed was when they returned from Germany and he built me a strong and high tree fort when we lived on Hubert Ave. He would send me to get this lumber and it was top quality wood. I was getting it out of a vacant lot next to my church. They were building an addition and the contractors told me I could have all I wanted. Well, the REAL owners came chasing me down the Hubert and wanting to know what I was doing stealing their lumber?Uncle Ed asked me where I was getting such good wood. And he came to my defense and they let us keep the wood since I was not really stealing it. Those contractors did not like them building on that lot. Many years ago! God, you knew when Uncle Ed came into all of our lives! Rest In Peace, Uncle Ed. You will be missed by many. Butch & family
