Edwin Emmett "Andy" Andrews' Obituary
Edwin Emmett “Andy” Andrews was born November 6th, 1929, at their home in Trinidad, Texas. He joined the Air Force and served his country from 1948-1953. He married his wife, Billie on July 11th, 1954, at the First Baptist Church of Oak Cliff in Dallas. They were together until Billie’s death on July 3rd, 2021. After the military he worked for Liggett and Meyers tobacco company and worked his way up to District Manager. He worked for the company until his retirement in 1993. His job required him to travel quite a bit. The family relocated several times. They settled in Dallas, Tx in 1968.
He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, and gardening. After retiring in 1993, he took up gardening and was quite passionate about it. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson and great granddaughters. He continued to take trips to the beach with his fishing buddy Andy.
Edwin is preceded in death by his wife, Billie; Parents Marvin and Johnnie, Brothers Charles (Chili) and Pat. He is survived by his son Ed and daughter-in-law Debbie; daughter Risa, Grandson Kayne, Great-Granddaughters Ivy and Eden, Sister Joy Trammell, nephew David and his family, sister-in-law Ann; niece, LeeAnn and her family.
