He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Paul Emmons. He is survived by son, Chuck (Cliff) Emmons; daughter, Susanne Detwiler; two brothers, Gerald and John; two sister Barbara Hubbard and Polly Shiflett; three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
