Edwin William Hiller's Obituary
Edwin William Hiller, 68, of Plano, Texas, passed away February 21, 2026 in Dallas, Texas, with the people he loved most by his side. He was born July 10, 1957 in Meridian, Mississippi, and lived a life marked by deep relationships, curiosity, and a genuine love for the people around him.
Ed was a man of many interests and the glue who held together the many circles of friends and family fortunate enough to know him. If you knew Ed, you were lucky enough to hear his infectious laughter and experience his unmistakable enthusiasm for life. He had a gift for bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome.
Ed was raised in Monroe, Louisiana, where he formed lifelong friendships and attended Neville High School. He later graduated from Louisiana Tech University, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Ed went on to enjoy a long and successful career in the construction sales industry. After retiring, he embraced life’s next chapter with the same energy he brought to everything he did. He and his beloved wife, Jennifer, spent their retirement years traveling together and enjoying time with family and friends. Ed also pursued his many hobbies, especially photography and cooking, always eager to learn, create, and share with others.
Ed was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Jacob Hiller, and his mother, Barbara Ann Hiller.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Hiller; his children, John (Mary Taylor) Hiller, Matthew Hiller (Lauren Leonard), Molly (Geoff) Garza and Kellee Higgins (Austin Heaton); and his cherished granddaughters, Mary Margot and Hays Hiller, who were his pride and joy. He is also survived by his sisters Suzanne (Bart Baker) and Janet (Richard Shackelford) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 13 at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas.
Ed will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the deep love he shared with those around him. His laughter, generosity, and spirit for living fully will continue to live on in the many lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Operation Kindness, a no-kill animal shelter, or the North Texas Food Bank.
