Eladio Agis Rodino's Obituary
Eladio Agis Rodino, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Rittenhouse Assisted Living in Garland Texas where he lived with his loving wife Carmen. Eladio was born in the small town of Samiera in the province of Galicia, Spain on November 5, 1931, the only son of Emilia Rodino Otero and Constantino Agis Rodino. Eladio came to the USA with his mother in 1946 to join his father in NYC. He started working at Horn and Hardart restaurant at an early age and worked his way to General Manager overseeing the operation and profitability of multiple locations. He met his beautiful bride, Carmen Gomez, in NYC and they were married there in 1951. After living in the Bronx, NY they moved their family to Brentwood, Long Island where they resided till 1994 when they retired to Frisco, Texas to be closer to family. Eladio, known as a stern taskmaster when seeking a quality outcome, is best known as a selfless, caring, loving individual. Family was everything to Eladio. His generosity was felt throughout his extended family. In his neighborhoods, he was known as the one to call on when someone needed help. He loved to celebrate with his family and friends, loved music and dancing and watching good boxing match. Eladio is survived by his wife, Carmen; daughters, Emily (Thomas) Wahl and Elizabeth Agis; son Edward (Susie Aguayo) Agis; grandchildren, Michael Agis (Rebecca Cedar), Robert Agis, Carolyn (Greg Kogan) Agis, Carlos Agis-Manzanares, Jacqueline Wahl, Stephen Wahl, cousin Saladina Cannas Rodino and numerous nieces and nephews. Eladio was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 8th, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in the Wildwood Chapel at 12:30 pm with Chaplain Victor Ortiz officiating. Internment will immediately follow. The family will greet friends at a viewing from 10:00am to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Restland Funeral Home.
