Elaine Elizabeth Dohearty's Obituary
DOHEARTY, ELAINE ELIZABETH DIDDIE “DIDD” was born to Leroy and Emily Diddie in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and passed on at her Dallas home on July 31, 2007. She attended Northwestern University. While working as a secretary in Milwaukee, she met Michael William Dohearty, whom she married in 1943. When Mike was drafted into the Army during WWII, Didd worked for Pan Am Airlines in Virginia. In 1950, Didd, Mike and their daughter Kathy moved to Dallas, where their son Tom was born. She was a long-time member of Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, and a docent at the Biblical Arts Center for 10 years. She loved traveling, dancing and was an avid animal conservationist. She was a most joyous person, non-judgmental, and had an unwavering trust in God. A loving wife, mother and friend, she is survived by her daughter Kathy Dohearty, son Tom Dohearty and his wife, Jan Jones.
