NORTON, ELBERT LEE, JR Went to be the the Lord Tuesday, March 22, 2016. Only son of Jane Ferris & Elbert Lee Norton Sr., born Aug.5, 1934. Survived by wife, Catherine Blaize Norton of 60 years. 3 children: Catherine Grace Bryant & husband Jerry, Andrew Lee Norton & wife Dana; Rosemary Elaine Fangary & husband Nader. 7 grandchildren: Kevin L & Amy L Campagna; Naomi D & Anna L Norton; John N, Dan N & Mary N Fangary. Southland Life Insurance Agent- Million Dollar Round Table Club, Longtime Dallas County Republican Party Volunteer, Precinct Chairman, Member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church PCA, Ruling Elder, Past Moderator North TX Presbytery PCA. Past member of Lakewood Presb. PCA. Casa Linda PCA, Member of East Dallas Kiwanis 25+ & Past Club Pres. Woodrow Wilson HS class of ’52 Senior Class Pres, .SMU grad.1957, BSA Troop 709 Ridgewood Park Meth. Ch. Scoutmaster, Recipient BSA Silver Beaver Award, Cartoonist for White Rocker local paper in mid-70’s, Former Lakehill Preparatory School play by play football game announcer “The Voice of the Warrior” mid ’70’s, Elbert was a true leader in every organization in which he participated. A trustworthy & kind man on which you always could depend. He loved the Lord he served and he truly loved singing Bass in the Church Choir EVERY SUNDAY. The family wishes to express thanks to the loving caregivers of MyCare. We are indeed grateful to each & every one of you loving women. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside Service will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of The Last Supper. Following will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at New Covenant Presbyterian Church at Buckner and Ferguson in Dallas, Dr. Paul Brown officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, it would greatly please him to make a donation to New Covenant Presb. Church in Elbert’s name.
