Eldon Jackson Hill's Obituary
Eldon Jackson Hill – Born April 28th, 1919 passed peacefully on January 18th, 2015. Eldon was married for 68 years to the love of his life, June. He is survived by his children, Linda Miller, Brad Hill and Chris Hill, and grandchildren Aubrey Schultz, Kristie Stout, Erin Miller, Carrie Miller, Cody Hill, Brian Miller, Austin Hill, Mason Hill, Matthew Hill and Nathan Hill and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, June and his son, Jack. Eldon was a devout Christian and has now joined his wife, parents, brothers, and son in heaven. Eldon was a fighter pilot in the US Navy during WWII. Eldon was a successful business man and business owner. He founded Dallas Plastics and later help start Hill Plastics with his sons, Jack and Brad. Eldon was a sculptor and has a WWII aviator bronze on the USS Lexington and the George H. W. Bush Library. Eldon and June loved to travel. They enjoyed boating for many years and lived on Lake Lewisville since 1976. He loved his family dearly and was very involved in their lives. He and June lived independently until last year and loved their view of the lake. Eldon protected and provided for his family and led a great example of a husband and father to his children and grandchildren. He was always thoughtful and kind to his elderly relatives. He loved his family and was always there if needed. He enjoyed a good sense of humor and was a terrific dancer. Heaven received a beautiful soul today. Pops, we love you and will miss you deeply. The visitation for Eldon will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Lake Cities United Methodist Church, 300 E Hundley Drive Lake Dallas, Texas 75065. The funeral service for Eldon will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243
