Eleanor Louise Knight's Obituary
Eleanor Powell Knight passed away peacefully on May 26, 2018 in Houston, Texas at the age of 102. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William H. Knight, her grandson, Steven Rea, and son-in-law, Samuel Rea. She is survived by her son, Dr. William P. Knight and his wife, Connie, and her daughter, Patricia Rea. There are three grandchildren, Karen and Shawn Bryans, Marci and Shawn Collier, and Powell and Angele Knight and four great grandchildren, Jake and Libby Bryans, Will Collier, and Liam Knight. Eleanor was born in Checotah, Oklahoma, grew up in Dallas and attended North Dallas High and Southern Methodist University, where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. After she married Bill Knight, they eventually settled in Dallas where she taught math at the Hockaday School. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and a talented pianist and artist.
