Eleanor Margaret Saunders' Obituary
Born November 12, 1921 in Groesbeck, Texas, Passed away on October 19, 2008, after suffering from congestive heart failure. Miss Ellie, as she was affectionately known, was a loving mother, grand-mother, and great grandmother. She was a long time member of the Sanders Class at East Dallas Christian Church. She was an active PTA member at Stonewall Jackson Elementary, J.L. Long, and Woodrow Wilson High School, and lifetime member of the Texas PTA. Ellie loved to read and cook. She attended Sam Houston State University for 3 years and then graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Business Administration. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Clements and husband, Rick, of Alexandria, VA; son, Robert Saunders, Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Kai Clements and wife, Kathryn, Stacy Saunders, Emily Saunders, and Ryan Saunders; and great-grandchildren, Kiefer and Kira Clements. Memorial service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Restland Memorial Chap-el. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Dallas Christian Church.
