Eleanore Jane Muffley's Obituary
Eleanore Jane Muffley, 87, formerly of Tampa, Florida and Williamsport, Pennsylvania, fell asleep in Christ on Saturday, June 21st, in the loving arms of her devoted caregiving daughter, Laurie Ann.
Eleanore, who was adopted out of foster care by the Sharar Family in Pennsylvania, was a devoted wife to her late husband, Harvey Robert Muffley and they were married almost 38 years when he passed away in 1997 in Tampa. She was a military spouse, and she gave birth to two of their three children on a US Army base in Germany.
When her husband went to Bible School after a decade of military service, she supported him in his pastoral mission and duties for years as a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Eleanore also had an angelic soprano singing voice and sang to thousands of people in her lifetime in praise of God.
Moreover, this truly sweet lady was a loving, patient and supportive mother who always put her children first, and they adore her. She leaves behind her three grown children, daughter Laurie Ann Muffley of Dallas, Texas, son Sean and daughter-in-law Rosemary Muffley, and son Lance Muffley, all in the Florida Tampa Bay area, as well as her only beloved grandchild, Jason Robert Muffley.
Her Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 1:30PM (Eastern Standard Time) in Tampa, Florida Hyde Park United Methodist Church.
