Mrs. Eleonora Furxhi Joanidhi's Obituary
Eleonora Furxhi Joanidhi was born on April 20, 1933, in Korca, Albania and died at age 88 on October 2021, at her residence in Dallas, Texas. Preceded in death by her parents, Kostaq and Agathi Furxhi, husband Leonard Joanidhi, brother Vangjush Furxhi and sister Valentina Stathi. She is survived by her son Tomi Joanidhi, daughter-in-law Angela Joanidhi, daughter Enjeta Duka and son-in-law Kostaq Duka. Also, grandchildren, Dorian Duka, Elona Joanidhi and Leonard Joanidhi, and great grandchild Givenchy Duka.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eleonora Furxhi Joanidhi will be held on Monday October 18, 2021, at 1:30 PM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church with burial to follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation and viewing with the family will be held before the funeral at 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
Eleonora married Leonard on May 1952 and enjoyed 21 years of marriage until he passed away on March 9, 1973. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchild and embraced every moment with them. Eleonora had a vivacious personality and always made people around her feel welcome with her hospitality, warmth, and generosity. She enjoyed music, dancing, cooking, and sewing. Eleonora was a member of Holly Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and was a devoted servant of God.
