Magdy, Barbara, And Chrissy Habeshy
My acquaintance with Elie came through my aunt’s husband with whom I lived. He taught sciences (Geology, Chemistry, Physics) to all senior classes at al Jamil H.S (State of Kuwait). While working on his senior project at Indiana Institute of Technology (USA), Elie was committed to accuracy and results. He graduated as a civil engineer major and then became a registered professional engineer later. Elie was committed to be a professional and a self-made man. Words such as dignity, integrity, and transparency were always high on his list. I witnessed time after time how many people of both genders loved to be in his presence, and those that had that opportunity were and still are the lucky ones. From the moment I became aware of Elie’s illness, I looked up to heaven with open arms and a devastated heart because I could not understand and spoke softly why. Dear God, your son has been a blessing to many people. When there is no sufficient answer or enough understanding, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10) is the only answer. Elie has shared his testimony with me, and I praise God for his life and his testimony for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. When the Lord called Elie home it was on Christmas Eve for Orthodox Christians per the Gregorian calendar. The Lord manifested his perfect timing when calling Elie home at such a time. Again, accuracy and results for a wonderful life with the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior gives us the message of salvation for all humanity, eternal life forever, throughout all ages.
