Elisabeth Lain Owens Miller's Obituary
Elisabeth Lain Owens was born November 4, 1955 to J.C. and SuLain Owens. Reared in Richardson, Lisa graduated from JJ Pearce HS in 1973. After 2 years as a Kilgore College Rangerette, Lisa graduated from SMU before returning to Pearce and serving as the Pacesetters Director for 14 years. Lisa married Richardson native & coach Bruce “Thunder” Miller in 1986, and in 1990, her greatest passion began, being Mommy to Tyler. For nearly two decades, Lisa’s impact in the dance/drill team world multiplied as owner of Starmakers. Since 2005, Lisa has owned Richardson boutique, Beaucoup. On January 5, 2017, Lisa peacefully met her Maker after a dignified journey with inflammatory breast cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodcreek Church, January 12 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the establishment of the “Lisa Owens Miller Scholarship” are greatly appreciated.
