Elizabeth Anne Mayhew's Obituary
Elizabeth Anne Mayhew of Grapevine, Texas was born on April 9, 1938 in Dallas Texas. She is the daughter of Ruby Weatherford of Dallas, and attended Crozier Tech High School. She married Roger Allen Mayhew in Ardmore, Oklahoma in 1957 and they just celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary on June 14th. Anne leaves behind Her loving husband, two children Michael S. Mayhew and wife Irma and Sandy Mayhew Hawkins and her husband Marty; along with her loving grand-children Brenley Garcia and husband Hilario, David Mayhew, Haylea Nguyen and her husband Michael, Austin Hawkins and his wife Brittney, Michael Deleon and his fiancé Kenzie Waechter, Brian Mayhew, Abigail Hawkins, Daniel Deleon and her four great grand-children Hilario ‘Tres’ Garcia, Travis Quinonez, Rocklin Garcia, and Sam Daniel Nguyen. Anne and her family enjoyed many travels throughout the years which led to her having a unique perspective on life. She and her husband developed numerous close and personal relationships as they were very active members of the First Baptist Church in Grapevine,Texas. Anne was a tremendous inspiration to others through her ability and drive to successfully overcome health challenges over the years. She and her husband Roger enjoyed attending the Irving Symphony, local theatre and musical productions, and traveling with her family and friends. She loved not only spending family time, but reserved personalized time with each of her grand-children each summer. Which gave them a unique, fun, and specifically tailored experience with their Grandma The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service for Anne will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, at 12:30 PM at First Baptist Church – Grapevine, located at 301 E Texas St, Grapevine, TX 76051. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
