Elizabeth Joanne Bailey's Obituary
Elizabeth Joanne Bailey
“Beth” or “BB”
1953 – 2025
Elizabeth Joanne Bailey, lovingly known as Beth or BB, passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 71 in Carrollton, Texas.
Born into a life that took her across the country, Beth eventually returned to the place she loved most — Texas — and planted deep roots alongside her family in the community. Her adventurous spirit and vibrant personality made her the life of every party. She brought joy wherever she went, with a sharp sense of humor, quick wit, and a heart that made everyone feel at home.
Beth had a zest for life and a love for the simple pleasures: water skiing on sunny days, cheering on LSU baseball, cranking up her favorite vinyl records, and tuning in for every NASCAR race. But nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her grandchildren — they were her heart, her pride, and her greatest joy.
Beth is survived by her loving daughter, Ashley Lane Miller, and son-in-law, Justin Miller; her adoring grandchildren, Finley Lane and Oakley Gregory; and her sister, Vikki Herwald. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lane Bailey, and her cherished parents, George Lane Corley Jr. (“Gramps”) and Jean Francis Brown Corley (“Gammy”) as well as her brother-in-law, Greg Herwald (“Putz”).
In honor of Beth’s giving spirit, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice in her name.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 7:00–10:00 PM at Verona Villa in Frisco, Texas.
