Elizabeth Baker's Obituary
Elizabeth (Holly) Hutson Baker went home to her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2019. Holly was born in Lubbock, Texas on October 20, 1958. Holly was a graduate of Lubbock High School and Texas Tech University. She married Brad Baker in 1981 and they moved to Mesquite, Texas and have lived in Sunnyvale, Texas for the past 21 years. Holly was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 1982. While her battle with MS changed her life forever, it never defined her. Her life verse was II Corinthians 4:16-18: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” Holly’s faith defined her and shaped her; her faith, patience, steadfast love and strength was an inspiration to all who knew her. Holly and Brad attended Centerpoint Church in Mesquite for 37 years. Survived by her husband Brad Baker, son Gregory Baker, daughters Amanda Moore and her husband Chris, and Jessica Baker; sisters Kate Hutson, Nan Timmons and her husband Gary, Laurie Glaske and her husband Randall; and brother Gary Hutson and his wife Claudia. Survived by many amazing members of the Baker, Barnes and Leaverton families, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the skilled medical team at the Zale Lipshy Hospital 3rd Floor ICU. Your unconditional care for Holly was a blessing that the family will never forget.Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery (13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75243) Friday 6:00 – 8:00pm Friday March 29, 2019.
