Elizabeth Rozella Coates' Obituary
Elizabeth Rozella Coates was born April 13, 1911 in Nashville, Tenn. She died on July 13, 2009 in Dallas after a short illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Coates, and sister Effie Joe Burton of Cincinnati, Oh. She is survived by son James Coates and wife Barbara of Dallas; grandson Allen Coates of Johnson City, Tenn; granddaughter Roslyn Coates of Dallas and sister Mary Flowers of Independence, Mo. She lived on Maple Springs Blvd. in Dallas for over 50 years as a devoted homemaker and neighbor. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She served as a candy stripe volunteer at Methodist Hospital for many years. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Restland Wildwood Chapel with interment to follow in Restland Memorial Park . Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
