Elizabeth A Lanfer's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Burnett Lanfer, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 5:30 PM at her home in Coppell, Texas. Betty was born on November 17, 1928 in Baton Rouge, La. She met the love of her life, Bill Lanfer in Fort Worth, Texas while she was working for American Airlines. She and Bill married in 1953 and they had six beautiful children. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, William Anthony Lanfer; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Lanfer; and infant son, John Andrew Lanfer, her parents Benjamin and Marie Burnett. Betty devoted her life to the teachings of the Catholic Church. She was the founder of Sacred Heart Books and Gifts in Dallas which is a Christ centered store that honors Catholic traditions. She passed away on the 36th anniversary of the stores opening, and also on the Feast of the Annunciation. Betty was the Recipient of the Cardinal Mindszenty Motherwood Award in 1998. Survived by Amy Prejean and husband, Louis; Bill Lanfer and wife, Kathy; Jane Smith and husband, Rick; and Paul Lanfer; grandchildren, Angela Begue Hammett, Brian Begue, Chase Lanfer, Chad Lanfer, Brittany Gauntt and Anna Chmiel; and six great grandchildren. Visitation for Elizabeth A. Lanfer will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 in The Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Rosary in the Memorial Chapel for Elizabeth A. Lanfer will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015. Funeral Service for Elizabeth A. Lanfer will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 30, 2015 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Coppell, Texas. Graveside for Elizabeth A. Lanfer will be held at 12:30 PM at Restland Memorial Park.
