Elizabeth “Betty” Lauretta Farnsworth, 92 of Dallas, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 peacefully at her home. Betty was born on September 23, 1926 in Meno, Oklahoma to parents Arthur and Elsie McCreary.Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband James J. Farnsworth, brothers; Harry McCreary and wife Mary, Arthur McCreary and wife Bobbie, and niece Sharon McCreary.Betty is survived by her children; Nancy Long and husband Gregg, James A. Farnsworth and wife Becky, grandchildren; Christine Crossley and husband Dave, Kimberly Duncan and husband Luke, Zachary Farnsworth and Jackson Farnsworth.Betty was a member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church since 1973, co-owner of Whites Home and Auto Store in Terrell, Texas from 1961-1985. Active in her church, book clubs, finance clubs, loved learning about computers throughout her life.In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Texas Food Bank, The Network of Community Ministries, or the James Farnsworth scholarship at Children’s Medical Center.Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, 9800 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX 75230.
