Elizabeth Louise Ehlers' Obituary
Elizabeth Louise Ehlers passed away on January 28, 2017, at her home in Richardson Texas. Elizabeth was born in Nassau Minnesota to Elizabeth and William McHale on October 25, 1932. She obtained a nursing degree and worked much of her life as an RN. She married Dudley R. Ehlers from Worthington Minnesota and moved to Richardson in 1965, which has been her home ever since. After several years as a homemaker raising her only child, Susan, she returned to work as an RN at Medical City Dallas for several years. She took great pride in her home and loved working in her yard. She was a big animal lover. She enjoyed travel and took many trips to Santa Fe New Mexico, one of her favorite places. She had a quick dry wit and had a special talent for listening. She was a generous and loyal friend. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and William McHale, her brother Jim, and her husband Dudley R.Ehlers. She is survived by her daughter Susan Sutton of La Jolla CA. Special thanks to Melissa Westervelt for her years of dedicated care to Elizabeth. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic church on Feb. 14 at 10 am. 720 S. Floyd Rd.
