Elizabeth Ann Lyons' Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Lyons passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on March 8, 2018. She was born to parents Oakley Pittman and Ruth Ann Pittman on January 21, 1933 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.Liz graduated from Highland Park High School and received a Bachelor of Music from Southern Methodist University in 1954.A longtime resident of Dallas, Texas she relished her role as daughter, mother, grandmother, teacher, flute instructor and friend. She remained active in her neighborhood programs and helped many throughout her life.Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Guy Lewis Lyons, Jr.; brother, James Pittman; grandson, Ryan Pike and son-in-law, Jerry Anderson.She is survived by a large extended family that includes her children, Beverly Lyons, Cindy Anderson, Kevin Lyons (Carole) and Keith Lyons (Barbara), nine grandchildren; brother, David Pittman (Bette Ann) and friend, Rose Alyce Beasley.Elizabeth lived a full life, a life full of joy and devotion to her Lord and to her family.The visitation for Elizabeth will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home.The memorial service will be help at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home.
